Everyone Italian in America

Now, this was completely over the top…. Jerry Vale is right, the songs are wonderful and sophisticated, but the commercial as a whole was absolutely out of place.

Calling a compilation of Italian/American songs “Mob Hits” is not the most flattering thing in the world for an Italian/American, but it’s okay, but all this stabbing and shooting images are absolutely outrageous.

The image of the Italian gangster is part of our community’s history, but we probably need more works like prof. Fred Gardaphé’s “From Wiseguys to Wise Men: the gangster and Italian American masculinities” and less trash like this commercial….

I completely agree with you... look at this other commercial featuring Louis Prima, more or less the same kind of music but this time the focus is on Italy as a land of love.... It's something else, isn't it?? They even play the theme song from the Godfather and talk about it, but there is no offensive recollection at all with the mafia or violence. Love and beauty, this is what Italian songs are about...

Well, I agree with you, this commercial is much much better than the one I posted!! This is the way Italian products should be advertized in this country, not the usual mobster think that only keeps throwing mud at us!!!

i agree with you, please for my english (i'll refresh the language :)), but in italy we don't shot any person, it's only a foolish stereotype.
