REPUBLICANS BLOCK ITALIAN FEDERAL JUDGES

" DID YOU HEAR THE ONE ABOUT THE ITALIAN AMERICAN JUDGES"

It’s easy to conclude many successful read wealthy Italian Americans are Republican.

Why? Because it’s True.

Too bad their REPUBLICAN Party is screwing Italian American Federal Judges. And therefore all of us. President Obama so far has nominated 8 Italian Americans to the Federal Bench but only 3 have been confirmed. 70% have not.

In total so far according to Judgeperia on the Internet Obama has nominated 108 men and women to vacancies in Federal Courts. 44 have not yet been confirmed or 40% still far too high but far far less in general than the percentage of Italian Americans nominated who have not been confirmed yet.

The media, good gov't groups and others even the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court complain about Republicans blocking the swift review and approval of Presiden Obama’s judicial nomination. Nobody complians about the extraordinarily high percentage of Italian Americans still waiting to be confirmed.

Now you know. Turns out President Obama is doing better than many of his predecessors and specifically his immediate predecessor George W. Bush, in appointing Italian Americans.

8% of Obama’s nominees are. But the REPUBLICANS are standing in the way of their confirmation. There is no proof whatsoever they have singled out Italian Americans. At the same time there is a disproportion between the number of Italian American confirmations being held up by REPUBLICANS in the U.S. Senate more than 50% of Italian Americans. 5 of the 8 Italian Americans nominated  by Obama have yet to be seated as new Federal Judges.

At the same time here is the very precise reason the Italian Americans are disproportionately being prevented from confirmation because – everybody together – Italian Amreicans are WEAK we have NO serious political clout in Washington, DC or anywhere else.

If Republicans had to WORRY about Italian American political power more Italian American would have been confirmed TWICE as many as have been and leaving less of the Italian American Judges WAITING basically the same amount as in the general group of nominees.

This Italian American powerLESSness leaves not only the Republicans to blame. IF Italian Americans had any power the Democrats in the Senate and Obama himself would point out these same figures and SHAME the Republicans into lifting their block on some of these Italian American nominees.

But in fact the Democrats aren’t going to waste any of their political capital speaking up for Italian Americans who are virtually INVISIBLE  to them. And more with the only two real Italian Americans in the U.S. Senate both being Republican. And surprise they are saying nothing neither. God bless Italian American Republicans. SORRY God didn't mean to insult you.

Isn’t it a sad sad state ( make that country ) of affairs my fellow Italian Americans. The embarrassment and humiliation just goes on and on. While a motley crew of Italian American NON leaders go around deluding themselves there real leaders – everybody laugh – Italian American leaders.

My favorite target being the RIDICULOUS laughable I have trouble even saying it the very name is such a  JOKE .. The Conference of Presidents of Major Italian American Organizations.

We would all be better off going to church and PRAYING to your favorite Italian saint that these 7 Italian Americans WAITING to be Federal Judges are CONFIRMED during 2011.

Or maybe we’d better go right to the top ….
