If you do, you must NOT be Italian...eh eh. Ok, just kidding, but maybe not - my Italian friends only want to talk about American films, sigh. For example of the top 10 grossing films showing across Italy this week - eight are American, one is from New Zealand, and ONE is from Italy - Grande, grosso e Verdone. Two older films that I have seen fairly recently were I CENTO PASSI (2000) and MIO COGNATO (2004). Did anyone see these? I liked them both. More recently I watched LA GIUSTA DISTANZA, NAZARENO, and CEMENTO ARMATO. Of these three, Nazareno was the weakest al mio piccolissimo parere. E allora? cosa ci pensi? Have a favorite Italian film you want to talk about?

I've never seen those actually, ondachica, but I'll certainly put them on my Netflix! :)

My Italian favorites are the older ones--particularly of the dopoguerra era and neorealist phase. I love sentimental, heartbreaking stories. They're absolutely beautiful, and I can literally watch them over and over again. Do you like any of the older films?

I just wonder why this forum is so... "switched off"?
